Scoring Billionaire Ransom

In Februaray 2015, we flew to the Czech Republic to record the infamous City Of Prague Philharmonic for our score for Billionaire Ransom (aka Take Down), along with director Jim Gillespie, music supervisor Claire Freeman and legendary orchestrator, Dave Foster. We retuned with a glorious set of cues ready to mix and a week later we were at the dub stage at Pinewood to hear our music integrate with the dialogue and fx and see the movie come to life.

Film scores might be like pets (bear with us, there is a point here…) I know you’re not supposed to have favourites but this film, from a composer’s point of view, is one that you’d want to cuddle and let sleep at the end of the bed. Jim Gillespie (I Know What You Did Last Summer / D-Tox) has created something thrilling and beautiful and we were the lucky recipients of the job to score his film.

Take Down is a forthcoming feature film from Pinewood Films and focuses on the reckless sons and daughters of international billionaires. Sent by their frustrated parents to an exclusive tough-love boot camp to be taught basic survival skills in the hopes it will teach them to take responsibility for their lives, they are taken hostage and held for ransom, invoking the sudden need to use their brief training to survive.
