This scene is the first meeting between the two main characters so there's a sense of intrigue and fragility between them. We voiced the cue with piano and cello, both heavily resynthesized to create ambient textures.

As the script is set in the future, we wanted to make the minimal orchestral parts sound more esoteric and added layers of digital synths and morphed the parts back and forth throughout the cue. The full length scene is nearly seven minutes of dialogue so it was a challenge to gently weave around the conversation.
