UNFORGOTTEN : THE BRADFORD CITY FIRE

A BAFTA and Grierson Award Nominated Documentary (2026) focussing on the people of Bradford following the tragedy of the Bradford City fire of 1985 where 56 people tragically lost their lives in the stands of the Football Ground, the central part of the comminuty. The documentary highlights how the City of Bradford changed forever in its wake and how the memory of those people who lost their lives will never be forgotten.
The score was aimed at being respectful and understated but was written with a filmic style to closely follow the scenes, people and documented events so in writing I was closely involved with scenes and themes both before and after filming took place and throughout the process.. We wanted to make sure that we did this story justice and I was very passionate to achieve this with a musical nod to the 80s whilst also being current for a modern audience.
